Zygo will exhibit its new Qualifire laser interferometer at Optatec 2024
Zygo will be heading to Optatec in Frankfurt, Germany, to showcase a selection of its non-contact 3D optical metrology solutions. At the precision optical metrology solution provider’s stand, you will be able to find Zygo’s ZeGage Pro optical profiler, the Verifire Asphere+ (VFA+) and Qualifire laser interferometers.
“At Optatec this year, we will be showcasing the pivotal importance of both our 3D optical profilers and our laser interferometers for manufacturers of precision optical components. For both production and laboratory settings, our laser interferometers often preferred when characterising high precision surface form is required, regardless of environment,” said Peter Kuschnir, European Sales Manager at Zygo.
“They excel in measuring flat, spherical, and aspherical surfaces reliably and repeatably. Our 3D optical profilers are more suitable when the goal is to capture comprehensive surface typography and detailed intricate 3D features. Our ZeGage Pro, VFA+, and Qualifire solutions on show at Optatec are great examples of the versatility and accuracy of our metrology tools in highly dynamic industrial settings.”
ZeGage Pro
Using Coherence Scanning Interferometry (CSI) as its primary measurement technology, ZeGage Pro takes interferometric surface profiling out of the lab and into production. The system works by delivering surface mapping at the nanometre scale and uses non-contact measurement technology (with SureScan technology) to ensure low sensitivity to vibrations.
VFA+
Optimising the benefits of Fizeau interferometry, VFA+ provides precise, high-resolution, fast, and full aperture metrology for axisymmetric aspheres. The system provides a flexible metrology platform where axisymmetric aspheres can be measured, with only changes to the transmission sphere needed. Additionally, it also supports computer-generated hologram (CGH) which extends the asphere shape capability to nonsymmetric freeforms and off-axis aspheric optics.
Qualifire
One of Zygo’s latest product launches, Qualifire is one of the company’s most portable laser interferometers. The system has an optional module available called the Flying Spot which is meant to reduce noise, contaminants and other sensitivity levels, which is a common issue in the measurements provided by laser interferometers.
“A trip to Optatec would be a wasted trip if you don’t come along to see Zygo’s impressive 3D optical metrology solutions booth 501 in hall 3.1,” continues Kuschnir. “Zygo has been a market leader in precision industrial metrology solutions for over 50 years, and the company emphasises the attainment of extremely precise nanometre-level measurements in production environments where often such machines struggle to operate effectively.”
He concluded, “We look forward to showing you how advanced metrology enables faster and more precise measurements, leading to optimised manufacturing operations and higher product quality.”
