Revopoint MINI 2 3D scanner
Revopoint 3D has announced the launch of the MINI 2 3D scanner, the latest iteration of the MINI 3D scanners series from the company. This range of scanners is designed for small object scanning.
The updated Revopoint MINI 2 3D scanner provides professional-level-ultra-detailed small object scanning capabilities at an affordable price for consumers and small businesses that need a time-saving tool for reverse engineering, quality control, design, and more according to Revopoint 3D.
The upgraded hardware offers faster small object scanning with its larger single capture range, spanning from 52 x 64 at 120 mm to 168 x 132 at 250 mm and fast 16 fps scanning speeds. Revopoint says this provides rapid capture and better tracking of bolts, dental moulds, jewellery and other small components.
MINI 2’s blue light scanning technology offers a 0.05 mm single-frame accuracy and 0.02 mm point distance, ensuring every tiny detail is captured to create “highly accurate” 3D models ready to be imported into CAD or 3D modelling software.
The device is compatible with Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows devices, and its free scanning and editing software offer seamless workflow integration according to the company. The scanner is also suitable for on-the-go scanning as it is portable and weighs 175g.
Revopoint says that usability is also improved with the addition of Wi-Fi 6 for lower latency mobile scans, a USB Type-C port for a plug-and-play setup, and new tactile buttons for better control. Its improved RGB camera, supported by a new Flash LED system, provides better colour scans suitable for aiding rapid asset creation for design or artistic creations.
Revopoint recently launched the MIRACO 3D scanner in December 2023, as well the new RANGE 2 3D scanner in January 2024.
