Partnership to deliver cutting-edge optical metrology to Japan

Jenoptik and Accretech have combined their economic and technological strengths to distribute the former's "Opticline" technology.

Accretech, a provider of semiconductor production equipment and precision measuring instruments, will distribute Jenoptik's optical shaft measuring system under its own OEM brand Shaftcom.

The decision to partner with Accretech gives Jenoptik access to the significant Japanese auto market, which Jenoptik has significant market share of in its home country of Germany.

“With Opticline, quality control of rotationally symmetrical components is performed during ongoing production. The integrated camera systems with telecentric light optically measure dimensions and contours either randomly or 100% on every workpiece from the production line. The systems are complemented by optional tactile sensors for internal or hidden features,” says Otto Boucky, Managing Director of Jenoptik’s Industrial Metrology business unit.

“We are pleased that our unique measurement technology is now available to Japanese customers across the board.” - Otto Boucky

As well as distributing and servicing new units, Accretech will take over existing service and maintenance contracts for any of Opticline technology already in country.

“Creating value for existing and future customers was the driving factor behind this cooperation,” said Hitoshi Yoshida, President and CEO of Accretech.
