Established in 1986 North Star Imaging (NSI) has long been providing industrial 2D & 3D digital radiography & CT X-ray equipment and services globally.

NSI is now expanding to an additional location in the USA with the new Orlando Inspection Services facility.

The new services lab will house the latest cutting-edge equipment including X3000 and X5000 for low energy inspection as well as a 9 MeV High Energy system that will be installed later this year.

David Nokk, Business Unit Manager for NSI's US Inspection Services Group says, "We're seeing the great demand for X-ray inspection from various industries across the US. We are offering low-energy inspection services now and will be offering High-Energy inspection services at this facility in early fall of 2022. In opening our inspection services lab in Orlando, we will assist the aerospace, defence, biomedical, additive manufacturing, automotive and other industries in the Southeast along with the rest of the United States

A major advantage of X-ray scanning is that both the internal and external surfaces can be inspected, including the properties of the material, such as the density of porosity, something that is not possible with probes or conventional photo-based scans.

North Star Imaging serves a global market with their machines and also has other sites for their scanning services located in the UK and China, as well as four more in the US: in Minnesota, California, Massachusetts and Florida. In addition to their scanning services and supplying industrial X-ray machines, NSI also provides training services for their equipment.
