Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality So
The ZEISS PRISMO product family, which has been on the market for over 30 years, now consists of ZEISS PRISMO, ZEISS PRISMO fortis, ZEISS PRISMO verity and ZEISS PRISMO ultra.
ZEISS has introduced new products to its ZEISS PRISMO coordinate measurement machine series.
This latest generation of coordinate measuring machines is said to boast improvements in the system's flexibility, productivity, speed, and sustainability capabilities. All ZEISS PRISMO products aim to increase efficiency, whilst avoiding hindering measurement accuracy.
Key information:
- The latest additions of the ZEISS PRISMO family boast improved speed and accuracy whilst conducting precision measurements.
- ZEISS's latest coordinate measuring machine is the only model of its kind to be awarded a DGUV-type certificate.
- Additionally, the machines include a variety of new features that improve the sustainability and ergonomics of the systems.
The ZEISS PRISMO family contains four machines, ZEISS PRISMO, ZEISS PRISMO fortis, ZEISS PRISMO verity, and ZEISS PRISMO ultra. All four are suitable to use in controlled environments, like a quality laboratory, or in a harsh environment, like a production line. Each device is also compatible with the new ZEISS VAST Rotary Table Axis and ZEISS CMM Acceleration Mode for Aerospace Applications. The latter allows measurement times of blisks and turbine blades to be reduced up to 70%, whilst meeting industry-specific reliability requirements.
ZEISS PRISMO devices are used in coordinate measuring when tolerances of a few micrometres or less are specified for components. They feature scanning parameters that allow for increased measurement speeds whilst also ensuring maximum levels of performance and safety. In fact, the ZEISS PRISMO machine is the only product of its kind to carry the DGUV-type certificate.
In addition to increased speed and accuracy, the ZEISS PRISMO family boasts improved ergonomic operation, energy efficiency, noise reduction, and sustainability with its new functions. The ZEISS PowerSaver and ZEISS AirSaver features on the systems reduce power consumption, with the former disconnecting the power supply, and the latter switching off compressed air, both at pre-determined times. The new ZEISS C99m control unit also reduces power consumption by up to 68%.
As well as sustainability improvements, the ZEISS PRISMO machines also promise improved handling and safety for users. The machines feature a new front cover designed to improve the manual loading of heavier parts, and a new control panel holder providing the machine with more flexible storage solutions. Additionally, safety laser scanners that monitor the system will trigger a reduction in speed in the event of danger.
