The Wenzel Group has started the new year with some big news as Karl Nagel moves from Director of Sales and Service to Managing Director of its metrology division. This continues the restructuring started in 2018 when Dr. Heike Wenzel became the sole managing partner taking over from her brother and co-founder Frank Wenzel.
Dr Heike Wenzel and Prof.-Dr Heiko Wenzel-Schinzer remain responsible for the coordination of the worldwide activities at Wenzel Group as a whole but have enlisted the services of Karl Nagel to run its core metrology unit.
Karl Nagel has been with Nagel since 2013, having previously been at fellow metrology company Jenoptik. His progression from Head of Global Service and Application to Managing Director of Wenzel Metrology is testament to the esteem in which he is held.
“After 9 years with Wenzel, I am still proud to be part of the family,” says Nagel. “I am even more excited to be able to continue shaping the future.”
