Waygate Technologies, a Baker Hughes business, announces its ultrasonic precision thickness tool, the Krautkrämer CL Go+. The non-destructive testing solutions specialist claims its new product is ideal for use in the automotive and aerospace industries and can measure a variety of cast and tamped metal components made of various materials (e.g., aluminium, steel, copper, and bronze). Additionally, the system can also be used for machined workpieces, tubes, chemically milled components, metal plates, plastics, glass, and composites.
The user can also upgrade the Krautkrämer CL Go+ into a three-in-one platform, allowing the system to function as a corrosion thickness gauge, flow detector, or both. Not only does this make the solution more versatile, but also lowers the cost of ownership for users. Also, USM Go+ and DMS Go+ users can add CL Go+ to their existing devices instead of purchasing a separate precision thickness gauge.
Key features of the Krautkrämer CL Go+:
- Measurement precision of 0.001 mm (0.0001”).
- 5” responsive display with indoor and outdoor visibility.
- Ambidextrous, portable and compact design with single-hand operation.
- IP67 ingress protection rating and a MIL510 military standard testing evaluation.
- Enhanced ease of use with intuitive menu and switch pad control.
- Powerful data management capabilities, providing the user with a place to store and analyse inspection data.
- Features two different modes with varying knowledge levels required to utilise each mode.
The Krautkrämer CL Go+ can complete readings under diverse conditions with optimised accuracy. The system can do this with its high-resolution A-Scan, gates, finite impulse response up-sampling, interpolated zero-cross measurement, and various calibration modes.
