Waygate Technologies CT Scanner, Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni
Non-destructive testing solutions provider, Waygate Technologies, has announced its latest CT Scanner, the Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni. The CT solution will replace the Phoenix V|tome|x M model, bringing with it a host of brand-new features.
Key information:
- Waygate Technologies says its latest CT Scanner will deliver increased speed, flexibility, and detection quality compared to its predecessor.
- The Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni is expected to solve inspection solutions in a variety of industries including e-mobility and aerospace.
- Building upon established features, Waygate’s new product will have additional functionalities including an increased scan envelope, additional workflow and integrated options, and improved metrology accuracy.
The Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni will benefit from Waygate’s existing capabilties including its Scatter|correct solution which eliminates scatter, high-flux|target for faster scanning, and its Dynamic 41 detectors for higher resolution and brightness. Additionally, it will now include a host of new benefits including an increased scan envelope, improved metrology, additional workflow and integrated options, and accessibility of key components for ease of use and serviceability.
The non-destructive testing specialist, which is part of the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment of Baker Hughes, says its latest offering will also feature increased flexibility, speed and detention quality compared to its predecessor. The new product is expected to provide solutions for various 3D metrology, research, and evaluation applications in a laboratory environment, and automated precision inspection in production with e-mobility and aerospace industries highlighted as key industries that the new product will serve.
Providing the Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni’s image quality are two horizontally installed tubes. The first, a 300 kV/500 W microfocus tube for imaging of dense parts. While the second tube, a 180 kV/20 W nanofocus tube, optimises imaging with even higher resolution.
The cabinet features a large sliding door for easier loading and unloading, with a variety of loading options for heavy objects. The product also features an increased scan envelope for larger samples up to 75kg, with a movable detector for effective scanning.
The Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni includes a space-saving control desk, which enhances workflow flexibility and integrated workflows for automated defect recognition (ADR) with the proprietary X|approver software, along with a standardised interface for integration with at-line inspection solutions.
“Our goal is to continuously improve our solutions by staying on the cutting edge of technology and exploring new possibilities," says Ben Linke, CEO of Waygate Technologies. "It is therefore a source of pride for us to have developed the Phoenix V|tome|x M Omni, a versatile product with which we are introducing new, valuable features and serving strategically particularly important growth markets. Receiving the iF Design Award underlines our commitment not only to functionality, but also to usability and design, which we believe are essential for developing truly effective solutions."
