Vieworks has unveiled its new bendable x-ray detectors at ECNDT 2023. The x-ray imaging solution provider’s latest offering hopes to reduce distortion on curved images, deliver high-quality images in challenging inspection scenarios, and provide improved versatility and resolution in non-destructive testing.
Key information:
- At ECNDT 2023, Vieworks unveiled its new bendable X-ray detectors for the first time.
- The launch includes two models, both with the primary aim of providing increased versatility and resolution of 99-micrometre pixel pitch in non-destructive testing applications.
- Vieworks claim its new VIVIX detectors will promote improved image quality, accuracy, reliability, and reduced distortion.
The new bendable X-ray detectors aim to allow the user to obtain high-quality X-ray images in the most difficult inspection scenarios. Additionally, Vieworks hope its new VIVIX detectors can reduce the possibility of distortion when imaging curved surfaces, resulting in improved reliability and accuracy.
Considering the focus on curved surfaces, Vieworks believes that specific objects will be easier to inspect with its new launch. Complex geometries, confined spaces, and pipe inspections are believed to be improved when using the VIVIX detectors, according to its developers.
"We are thrilled to unveil our bendable x-ray detectors at ECNDT 2023," said Mr Hong, Vice President of Vieworks. "These detectors represent a significant advancement in non-destructive testing, providing our customers with unprecedented flexibility in their inspection processes. Our team has worked tirelessly to develop a solution that meets the evolving needs of the industry, and we are excited to showcase the results of our innovation."
