Sylvac S145 Scan machine
Sylvac has unveiled its new S145 Scan optical measurement system. The machine comes equipped with Renishaw's SP25M 3D probe, which aims to provide a multisensory solution as it reveals characteristics once hidden from optics.
The S145 machine aims to be able to complete all measurements without the addition of multiple tools, with Renishaw’s probe providing all the assistance needed. The system also boasts seamless integration with combined sensor measurements and full touch probe scanning capabilities including measuring form, greater access with an interchangeable probe stylus, and an automated probe qualification routine as well as typical measurements (like hole and slot size, location and form, roundness, radial and axial runout).
Key features of the S145:
- Complete measurements in one system.
- Seamless integration with combined sensor measurements.
- Full touch probe scanning capabilities.
- Interchangeable probe stylus.
- Greater possibility for cost savings.
- Enhanced efficiency and precision with the addition of the high-resolution CMOS camera, temperature sensors, and hassle-free accessory changing system.
- Features a touch screen control panel with LED indicator and Reflex SCAN+ concept providing real-time feedback. No prior programming will be required.
- Improved ease of use with user-friendly programming.
- Automation Ready configuration can be installed upon request.
Due to the versatility of the S145 machine, organisations should have a greater opportunity to cut costs. This non-contact machine can be used to measure large cylindrical parts up to 100 kg, 145 mm wide and 615 mm long. 2D part scans should take less than three seconds to complete. Additionally, users should see a reduction in inspection times, less scrap produced, and an overall boost in productivity.
