
RX Solutions' X-Act software
RX Solutions’ X-Act software provides 2D and 3D inspections for parts. According to its developers, the software aims to display all the hidden details of scanned parts, to ensure improved competitiveness, especially compared to competitors. Additionally, X-Act is said to be easy-to-use, and highly adaptable to the user’s needs.

X-Act claims to combine fast and accurate results with high-level image processing for maximum efficiency, while conducting inspections for internal defects or metrological evaluations. Using the software, users can complete tasks from set-up through to CT scans’ full analyses.
X-Act also features additional functionalities including radiography, acquisition, and reconstruction, to provide both simple and complete inspections. The software also aims to provide multiple scanning strategies like advanced artefacts correction, automation, macro and scripting.
According to RX Solutions, X-Act provides greater automation, reduction in costs and limits time wasted, while also ensuring the reliability of results. Optional automation settings also allow users with different knowledge levels to use the software.
X-Act features three user modes. These are:
- X-Act expert.
- Guided acquisition mode – this mode configures the acquisition parameters step by step with the user, whilst also suggesting preferable settings.
- Wizard mode – this mode provides a fully automatic acquisition tool, where the user is only a supervisor while the software completes the acquisition process.
RX Solutions also claims that the X-Act will benefit from two new releases every year.
