Mitutoyo Corp
Precision metrology instrument manufacturer Mitutoyo America Corporation has made enhancements to its Vision Pro vision measurement system line.
It comes just a few months after the company released the Mitutoyo LH600F/FG Linear High Measurement System.
Key information:
- The Vision Pro updates enable a quality run time speed increase of up to 45%.
- These Product enhancements are set to help Mitutoyo further penetrate the semiconductor and automotive industries.
- The Mitutoyo Vision Trade-In Trade-Up Program gives users the opportunity to upgrade to Mitutoyo's technologically advanced precision measuring equipment.
Having also recently introduced the QV Vision Pro Series, Mitutoyo has sought to improve the speed of its Vision Pro vision measurement products, with a particular focus on quality run time and autofocus. The StrobeSnap vision measuring function speeds up quality run time by around 35-45% compared to other machines on the market 'regardless of measurement position or continuity.' This, as well as an autofocus that is around 39% faster than previous models, allows users to measure quickly without negatively impacting accuracy.
Mitutoyo has been motivated to make these product enhancements in line with developments in the semiconductor and automotive industries. In semiconductor, the passage of the Chips and Science Act in 2022 will provide more than $52 billion to incentivise semiconductor production in the United States, while vision measurement will play a big part in the automotive industry's transition from combustion engines to electric.
“It’s an exciting time in the marketplace for machine vision measurement,” commented Matt Dye, President Mitutoyo America Corporation, “and Mitutoyo is at the forefront of the industry bringing our customers best-in-class machines and real-time solutions to meet the biggest and most complicated quality measuring challenges they will be facing in the years ahead.”
As it announces the Vision Pro improvements, Mitutoyo has also set up the Mitutoyo Vision Trade-In Trade-Up Program, which will allow users to upgrade to its new precision measuring equipment for 'less money and less hassle'. Through this scheme, Mitutoyo has pledged to give users a significant trade-in allowance for their current vision measuring machine, whether it be Mitutoyo or other brands, to put toward a new Mitutoyo precision measurement system. Mitutoyo will then remove, ship and recycle the existing machine at no charge, as long as it is located as the same site where the new machine is being installed.
