
MBX Systems' Optio platforms
MBX Systems, which has recently been acquired as the Engineered Solutions group of AHEAD, has announced eight AI platforms for industrial and medical AI applications. The eight new platforms are either powered by NVIDIA IGX Orin or NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, with each system designed to meet the needs of various industries and applications.

Custom hardware designer and integrator MBX Systems have extensively expanded its Optio portfolio. The new platforms include two systems powered by the NVIDIA IGX Orin platform and two all-in-one AI systems powered by NVIDIA AGX Orin, the latter designed for medical interfacing with no separate monitor. As well as two new and two previously announced embedded platforms which are designed with either NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin or Jetson Orin NX, which aim to meet disparate edge AI needs.
Through its new launches, MBX is hoping to provide a comprehensive selection of hardware building blocks for edge AI applications within the industrial and medical sectors. The company envisions its products being used for applications including robotic equipment operations and quality control. As well as industrial automation applications including security and safety (e.g. video-based analytics and patient monitoring), and clinical AI devices, for example, diagnostic imaging, genomics, and surgical robotics.
Additionally, MBX provides full AI application integration services and hardware lifecycle management capabilities through its Hatch proprietary software. According to the company, Hatch provides full visibility for consolidated product data, which may include component lifestyles, harvested asset data, real-time shipment status, and much more.
