Marposs has announced that they have acquired Solarius Development. The Silicon Valley-based company is a provider of solutions within the consumer electronics and semiconductor industries.

Solarius provide services for every stage of the lifecycle of precision systems for non-contact surface inspection, measurement, analysis, and visualisation. These stages include design, installation, commissioning, training, application support, repair, and maintenance.
The manufacturing solutions provider has expertise in application, engineering, and manufacturing. Solarius uses a combination of high-resolution sensors, with automated data acquisition systems and analysis software tools in its solutions.
Having acquired Solarius, Marposs is hoping to further expand its range of solutions for optical measurement into other phases of the production process. The Group will focus on targeting companies operating within the consumer electronics, green energy, and semiconductor sectors. The latter of which is experiencing continual growth due to its role in the digital technology revolution and the increasing demand for e-mobility.
Marposs Group also recently acquired MeSys with the aim to expand its range of solutions dedicated to the battery cell production process and increase its presence in the e-mobility industry.
