Automation solution from Mahr: In the new development of Mahr Engineered Solutions, a robot loads the measuring station without a service.
Mahr is set to exhibit its production measurement solutions and digital services at the EMO Hannover trade show this September. The MarSurf M 410, an economical solution for automating recurring measurements, the myMahr portal, the OPC UA interface standard, and the Digimar 817 CLT height measuring device will all be on display.
Key information:
- Mahr will exhibit a variety of its production measurement solutions and digital services at EMO Hannover in September.
- The MarSurf M 410, an economical solution for automating recurring measurements, myMahr portal, the OPC UA interface standard, and the Digimar 817 CLT height measuring device, will all be featured at the show.
- Each product and service aims to solve complex measurement issues.
Mahr’s new mobile measuring device, the MarSurf M 410, will be showcased at EMO. The device aims to make measuring data recording and evaluation easier. And with the separation of the display and feed unit, the MarSurf can be used flexibly.
Additionally, the device can be used as a PC variant (as a feeder) for surface measurements by combining it with the MarWin EasyRoughness software.
Additional features of the MarSurf M 410:
- Practical touch display.
- Integrated PDF memory.
- Transmits data via Bluetooth.
- Compatible with practical accessories like a mobile Bluetooth printer and mini-USB interface.
- Hosts a variety of individualisation possibilities of the measurement and evaluation functions.
Another release, this time courtesy of Mahr Engineered Solutions (MES), comes in the form of an economical solution for automating recurring measurements. A collaborated robot will load a measuring station (located either in a measuring room or near production) without the aid of an operator. The solution aims to increase the utilisation rate of the measuring station, which in turn will boost productivity.
Mahr will also unveil its new digital service platform, the myMahr portal. The developers claim that the heart of the platform is the Monitoring & Assets function, which allows users to transmit and evaluate live data from measuring stations. Portal users will receive constructed overviews of the status and utilisation of their measuring machines and key figures for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Additional features of the myMahr portal:
- The platform bundles all interfaces between Mahr and its customers, storing them in a user-friendly, central location.
- In the future, myMahr will offer maintenance and condition monitoring.
- Any maintenance parts that myMahr recommends can be acquired using the store option on the portal.
Mahr will also demonstrate its OPC UA interface standard. This technology aims to make it possible to exchange information across platforms and to control machines, which can be done via an internal company network or the Internet. In addition, the Digimar 817 CLT height measuring device, which is available in three measuring ranges (350mm, 600mm, and 1,000mm), and features touch operation, ergonomic handling, and various evaluation options, will also be on show at EMO.
"The EMO is an important industry meeting place for our customers,” said Manuel Hüsken, CEO of the Carl Mahr Group. “As the world's leading trade fair for production technology, it advances modernisation processes in industrial production, which also include quality assurance and thus our business area. With our digital services, we make an innovative and customer-oriented contribution."
