Smart Manufacturing Summit by GL Industrie
GL Events and Aichi Prefecture (the industrial capital of Japan) has unveiled its collaborative endeavour, the Smart Manufacturing Summit by Global Industrie. The new trade event will be focused on Industry 5.0 and will feature a host of speakers from various research and industry backgrounds, as well as representatives from the European and Japanese government bodies.

The event is expected to run for three days, with tangible case studies spanning all three days. Throughout the event, various subject topics like market expectations, the latest trends in Europe and Asia, cooperation and partnerships, international agreements, and public sector programmes to support business development will all be discussed.
The event organisers are currently promoting the following general layout for the three-day event:
- Day one will be primarily focused on the objectives supported by both Europe and Japan.
- Day two will provide insights into the various approaches to smart manufacturing in both regions.
- Day three will be about diving deeper into the technical approach, with presentations on Industry 5.0 and how we can build a smart, sustainable future.
Additionally, the programme of presentations and round tables will provide attendees with the opportunity to debate and learn more about different strategic issues and potential areas of cooperation.
Speakers from the academic, public, and private sectors will be in attendance at the event and will be expressing their views on “the industry of the future” and the potential of cooperation between Japan and Europe. Additionally, speakers will also provide their insights on the issues and challenges that industries could face in the future. These speakers include:
