Creaform, a global leader in portable and automated metrology solutions, and QFP, a prominent Italian metrology company, recently established a strategic agreement to help the European manufacturing industry deploy automated quality control solutions.
QFP is one of the leading European firms in metrology services, reverse engineering, and associated design. It operates out of sites in Padua and Spoleto, Italy, and provides expertise to customers throughout Europe.
Creaform and QFP have signed an agreement that designates QFP as Creaform's "strategic partner" for automation efforts in Europe. This adds value for both firms' customers by expanding the range of autonomous QFP systems available and bringing this technology to even more Creaform customers in Europe.
QFP are able to convert Creaform's R-Series 3D scanning solutions into customised automated quality control applications depending on customers requirements. The customised solution comes in the shape of Qbox Evolution with an interchangeable layout.
Modifications gives the ability for additional axes, addition of contour elements such as automatic support devices, integration with production lines, additional control cameras, automatic loading / unloading systems and much more. The dozens of automated QFP installations on the market are proof that attention to the customers’ needs is the most important starting point for creating that perfect quality assurance solution.
