The newly enhanced test site, based at Hexagon's machine control facility in Odense, Denmark, will focus on allowing customers, partners and employees to see and experience the Leica Geosystem's heavy construction solutions in a real-world environment.
As an extensive observation ground to assess and test new technology under real-life conditions, the 'T-Site' is aimed at synthesising research and product development into "an experiential site that showcases Hexagon's innovative culture and experience as well as its advanced technologies and unique capabilities through hands-on exploration."
Hexagon describes the T-Site as a place where customers and prospects can test its hardware and software solutions in an environment that closely mimics real-world conditions. Visitors will get a personalised hands-on experience of all aspects of digital construction, from start to finish, with the ability to experiment with sensors, software and cloud solutions that may be unfamiliar to them.
The T-Site also supports an increased collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and distribution partners, with the aim of furthering developments related to safety, sustainability and autonomy.
"The best way to understand the benefits of machine control and the power of autonomy is to experience it. We are proud to showcase our legacy, achievements and continuous innovation as we move toward an autonomous and sustainable future," says Magnus Thibblin, President Machine Control Division at Hexagon's Geosystems division.
