3D Infotech Streamline and Spotlight AR++ software
3D InfoTech has announced the release of the latest versions of its Streamline and Spotlight AR++ software, as part of its Universal Metrology Automation (UMA) platform. Both upgrades will help each software support new devices, configurations, languages, and additional quality inspection processes beyond dimensional metrology.
Key information:
- 3D InfoTech has unveiled the latest versions of its Streamline and Spotlight AR++ software.
- Both updates are expected to expand the number of devices each software supports while also boosting quality inspection processes.
- The new versions are part of the metrology automation solution provider’s Universal Metrology Automation (UMA) platform.
The Streamline software aims to allow users to plug and play various robots, machine vision cameras, and 3D scanners, allowing them to deploy solutions for automated inspection. The software is also integrated with PolyWorks metrology suite which ensures dimensional data analysis and reporting. According to the developers, the new upgrade (version 1.6.3) is set to provide new languages and extended support with advanced settings for devices from LMI Technologies, Cognex, Universal Robots, and 3DI’s propriety Astaire firmware for managing hardware platforms.
Whereas the new Spotlight AR++ software update (version 2.2.1) aims to extend 3D Infotech’s capability from guided metrology workflows to guided assembly applications. The new version claims to allow industrial users to utilise projectors on the shop floor to set up work cells where workers can follow step-by-step instructions on how to assemble components. This should reduce variability during the manufacturing process, while also removing the necessity of specialised AR glasses. Additional new features also include USB support for machine vision cameras, and extended customisation of the projected features, as well as improvements in resolution, performance, and overall user experience.
