KaKue CEO Abdulrahim Kahriman with member of staff from Eleven Dynamics
KaKue GmbH provides measurement services using metrology technology that aims to help its customers solve complex problems. According to the company, its products provide solution-orientated order testing in-house and on-site at its customer’s premises.
However, the measurement services provider was experiencing high levels of time loss that the company believed was associated with the traditional measurement methods that were being utilised. KaKue were using conventional coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and a mobile AS1 device, both of which were manual and time-consuming to operate. To reduce this time loss, KaKue explored automation solutions that could also provide accurate and reliable data whilst also maintaining high-quality standards.
About KaKue GmbH
In 2002, the company that would become KaKue GmbH was first established as MTK-Messtechnik Kahriman. Now, KaKue has over two decades' worth of experience providing reliable measurement services using metrology technology. The company is currently based in Obersulm, Germany, and has recently entered the non-destructive testing industry.
The NEXOS 4.0 brings automation to KaKue
Eleven Dynamics GmbH have provided KaKue with a solution. The automation technology providers suggested that KaKue should adopt the NEXOS 4.0 software, which could fully control the measurement cell (another solution) within three days of implementation. According to the developers, this software is capable of simulating and managing automated measurement processes in a digital twin, allegedly making this the only solution that would work automatically for KaKue.
The solution was specifically designed for KaKue’s use and claims to support any robot, sensor, and cell configuration. This makes the software ideal for the diverse range of tasks it would be required to handle for the measurement services provider.
After the successful implementation of the NEXOS 4.0 software, Eleven Dynamics also installed an automated measurement cell consisting of the Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 and the Absolute Scanner AS1, at KaKue.
Key features of the NEXOS 4.0 software:
- Integrates all manufacturing processes into a single platform.
- Provides real-time data on production processes.
- Improves visibility and efficiency.
- Automates routine tasks like data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Reduces time and the risk of errors occurring.
- Features predictive analytics capabilities which can help users identify patterns and trends in production processes.
- Includes advanced inventory management features like real-time tracking of raw materials and finished goods.
- Provides quality tracking metrics like defect rates and scrap rates.
How has the NEXOS 4.0 impacted KaKue's manufacturing times?
According to KaKue, the results were “immediate and impressive.” The measurement services provider found that the NEXOS 4.0 and the automated measurement cell had “significantly reduced” the time taken to complete measurements, whilst also providing accurate and reliable data. After implementing the software, KaKue finally had automation within its processes, something that the company has found has enhanced its measurement services.
During the demonstration of the solution, KaKue saw the added value in real time. This led KaKue’s CEO, Abdulrahim Kahriman, to say, “We did not question NEXOS at any time. The system was immediately online and works just fine. I even don’t need a robot programmer anymore.”
Eleven Dynamic’s implementation of the NEXOS 4.0 software is expected to transform KaKue's measurement service offerings moving into the future.
