Productive Machines improves accessibility of autonomous machine tool optimisation technology

“We’ve successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of our technology in some of the world’s most sophisticated manufacturing environments, and today’s launch is a huge milestone in making it accessible to all machine shops.”

Autonomous machine tool optimisation technology provider Productive Machines has announced that the company’s SenseNC Finesse software will now provide a fully automated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering. The software offers automated optimisation of all milling operations, which allows users to set up each machine tool and run the production. Additionally, the solution should prevent chatter vibrations at every cutter location across the entire toolpath.

SenseNC Finesse utilises Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance machine processes. Major manufacturers including Renault and MASA Aerospace have already adopted the software. Now that Productive Machines has improved the accessibility of the software, the company is hoping to help even more manufacturers eliminate trial and error, reduce waste, and produce quicker and better products.

According to Productive Machines, systems configured with its software have:

“Since the beginning of our journey, manufacturers have told us they needed an optimisation solution that doesn't need extensive experience to use. We’ve poured more than 100 years of our cumulative machining dynamics and software engineering expertise into creating our autonomous, easy-to-use solution that machine operators, application engineers and CAM programmers of all levels can use to utilise machine tools to their full potential,” said Dr Erdem Ozturk, CEO at Productive Machines.

Erdem continued, “We’ve successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of our technology in some of the world’s most sophisticated manufacturing environments, and today’s launch is a huge milestone in making it accessible to all machine shops that want to reduce lead times and enhance quality, productivity, and sustainability.”

Additionally, manufacturers using Siemens NX CAM software can now utilise SenseNC Finesse via a plug-in. Productive Machines has also announced it will launch its Mastercam plug-in in the coming months, which will make the software available for manufacturers using other CAM software.
