New collaboration for additive automation

CoreTechnologie has announced a new cooperation with Meteor Inkjet Ltd, which will be focusing on "the precision as well as multi-material capabilities of inkjet printing and new possibilities for automating additive manufacturing."

CoreTechnologie's 4D_Additive is a comprehensive software suite meant for all additive manufacturing processes and offers a range of functions such as model repair, geometry analysis and optimisation, support, grid and hollow as well as texture generation, nesting and slicing. The new collaboration with Meteor Inkjet Ltd means that the software can now be combined with its printhead drive electronics and Met3D Digital Front End. CoreTechnologie says that this means printer manufacturers "now have a straightforward path from development to production of inkjet printing systems for additive manufacturing." The nature of inkjet printing dictates tight tolerances, necessitating a seamless integration of hardware and software. CAD models and 3D data optimised in a special format for inkjet printers are also important, and this new software collaboration stands to improve in these fields. 

"As a result of our collaboration with Meteor, binder and material jet systems with Meteor hardware and software can be easily integrated into the industry-standard workflow provided by 4D_Additive, enabling the processing of accurate native CAD models of all major systems and formats," said Rémi Goupil, CT Product Manager - 4D_Additive.
