Metrology instrument manufacturer Mitutoyo American Corporation unveils its latest measurement system
The LH600F/FG will feature a new touchscreen interface and a Digimatic output, as well as improved accuracy.
Mitutoyo American Corporation has announced its latest measurement product, the Mitutoyo LH600F/FG Linear High Measurement System. The precision metrology instrument manufacturer’s latest launch boasts improved accuracy and usability, as well as a host of new features.

- The Mitutoyo LH600F/FG Linear High Measurement System will receive a boosted accuracy of (1.1+0.6L/600) μm with 0.1μm/0.5μm resolution/repeatability.
- Additionally, the new system will also feature a new rotatable, adjustable, touchscreen interface that will allow users to measure with a simple press of a button.
- Other new features that the system will have include a new self-check feature, an optional footswitch, and an air-bearing system.
Mitutoyo’s latest launch features a high-accuracy scale unit and guiding mechanism, as well as a touchscreen interface. The new display, which boosts the system's usability, is also rotatable and adjustable allowing for both rear and front orientations. Additionally, the LH600F features a Digimatic output which allows data to be sent to Excel and SPC software, whilst maintaining USB and RS232C output capabilities.
The precision metrology instrument manufacturer’s latest product benefits from a new self-check feature, which can detect dirt and oil on the encoder, as well as a new optical footswitch which ensures hands-free repeat measuring of volume parts. Additionally, the LH600F allows for instant changes to delta, resolution, and unit measurements as well as an air-bearing system, making the height gauge easier to move.
The measuring system also benefits from multiple probe options, making the switching of probe positioning better, with an improved accuracy of (1.1+0.6L/600) μm with 0.1μm/0.5μm resolution/repeatability. Finally, the system also features improved motorised capabilities, allowing for better repeatability and reproducibility as well as an improved 2D mode to measure bolt-hole circles, measure angles, and more.
