The combination of PMI and the new library in ZEISS CALYPSO makes it possible to work even faster and to be more productive.
This year, ZEISS will launch an updated version of its ZEISS CALYPSO software for measuring technology. The software platform works by analysing the data provided by ZEISS coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) which is obtained through tactile and optical measurements.
“Our customers expect a high level of precision combined with absolute reliability and increased performance,” said Christoph Grieser, Head of Global Software Sales at ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions. “With our ZEISS CALYPSO software, we have been offering this for over 25 years.”
Key features of CALYPSO 2024:
- Users can utilise product and manufacturing information to create inspection plans based on a new GD&T library. This will allow for the generation of clear, repeatable, and comparable measurement results, allowing the users to work faster and be more productive.
- A new reflection correction feature is set to improve the optical data provided by sensors. The software will increase the robustness of edge detection.
- CALYPSO 2024 will support the combination of ZEISS LineScan and a rotary table for 4-axis measurements. This ensures that the reorientation of the sensor is no longer required, allowing measurement jobs to be completed quickly and with improved performance.
ZEISS’ latest upgrades aim to impress customers by continually enhancing its technology capabilities.
“Whether these are minor tricks that can improve the evaluation process for our customers quickly and easily or brand-new functions, it is important to us that we improve the everyday lives of users and help take quality assurance to a new level,” concluded Grieser.
