ZEISS launch its ZEISS SPECTRUM CMM series.
ZEISS has unveiled its new coordinate measuring machine (CMM) product family, ZEISS SPECTRUM. Designed to provide improved stability and flexibility, the CMM range aims to enhance quality control processes across various industries including the automotive, electronics, and general machinery sectors.
“We are excited to introduce the ZEISS SPECTRUM to the market,” said Andrzej Grzesiak, Head of Business Unit Multisensoric CMMs at ZEISS. “This product sets a new benchmark in CMM technology, providing our customers with the precision and flexibility they need while maintaining a focus on affordability and efficiency. ZEISS SPECTRUM is truly a game-changer for industrial quality control.”
Key features of the ZEISS SPECTRUM CMM product family:
- The ZEISS SPECTRUM is available in four sizes, measuring a variety of parts and geometries.
- Combines tactile and optical scanning capabilities, allowing the user to conduct various comprehensive inspections with a single machine.
- Features the VAST XXT TL3 compact design sensor to improve available measuring volume.
- Provides high-speed optical measurements with the LineScan One laser scanner.
- Achieves flexible angle positioning, with up to 20,739 positions possible, with the RDS probe carrier.
Users can conduct measurements on delicate and flexible parts with the SoftTouch sensor mode option. This allows for precise and quick results, with the potential to reduce measurement cycle times by up to 40%. Additionally, the reduced footprint of the CMM range optimises lab space without compromising on measurement volume.
