Teledyne DALSA
Z-Track 3D Apps Studio in Sherlock 8.0.
Teledyne DALSA has unveiled its new suite of software tools for in-line 3D machine vision applications, the Z-Trak 3D Apps Studio. Compatible with Teledyne DALSA’s Z-Trak laser profilers, the solution simplifies 3D measurement and inspection tasks on production lines. The Z-Trak studio enables 3D scans of objects with different surface types, sizes, and geometric features.
The industrial and scientific imaging technology provider’s new solution is ideal for factory automation applications in a variety of industries including electric vehicles, automotive, electronics, semiconductors, packaging, logistics, metal fabrication, lumber, and more.
Z-Trak 3D Apps Studio works by measuring object thickness, inspecting glue beads, weld seams, and identifying defects on flat, inclined, and curved surfaces located on machined, assembled, or extruded parts. The solution also features anchoring and data enhancement features like flection elimination to help ensure reliable and repeatable results.
Key features of the Z-Trak laser profilers:
- Features various multi-sensor topologies to enhance the field of view, while preserving height resolution.
- Overcomes occlusion.
- Provides 360° view of objects for inspection and measurement processes.
Z-Trak 3D Apps Studio acquires, processes, and analyses 3D scans and 2D greyscale images with 3D visualisation capabilities. The platform boasts easy integration and quick deployment as it is accessible via Sherlock 8.30 (or higher), a field-proven, no-code, graphical development environment for factory floor applications.
