Teledyne DALSA has announced the launch of its new Linea Lite 8K Super Resolution camera, which is now in production. The new camera features a compact and cost-effective design whilst still having the capacity to deliver 8k resolution images. Such a feat is typically possible with cameras twice its size.
Additionally, the new Super Resolution technology can enhance inspection speeds when combined with inspection systems. Both power and data connection can also be delivered via a singular cable.
Key features of the Linea Lite 8K Super Resolution camera:
- Ideal for various machine vision applications.
- Features a 45% reduced footprint compared to its predecessor.
- Includes an 8k Super Resolution Monochrome camera with two 4k/7 μm pixel rows with pixel offset.
- By capturing two images simultaneously, a super-resolution image of 8k/3.5 μm can be constructed in real time.
- The camera is compatible with standard M-42 lenses, reducing the overall cost of the system.
By utilising Teledyne’s Sapera LT software, the new camera can deliver data throughput twice the bandwidth of a typical GigE interface, providing 25 kHz at full 8k resolution (for example 205 MB/sex). When combined with the TurboDrive technology, the gigabit Ethernet speed can be increased even further.
