Teledyne DALSA has launched its AxCIS family of high-speed, high-resolution fully integrated line scan imaging modules. Now available in colour, these contact image sensors (CIS) combine sensors, lenses, and lights to offer a reduced-cost inspection system. 

The new solution can be used in various machine vision applications like battery and print inspection. With Camera Link HS SFP+ fibreoptic interface, the product family can deliver high throughput data over standard low-cost, long-length cables. The imaging modules are also immune to EMI radiation, proving that the systems can be used in harsh industrial environments.

Key features of the AxCIS product family:

  • Up to 60 kHz x 3-line rate of native RGB colours, providing enhanced image quality.
  • The pixel size of 28 µm or 900 dpi resolution, ensures defect detection with high levels of precision.
  • With unique sensor design covers, the entire field of view is covered ensuring no interpolation.
