Taqtile has launched its free tool for creating spatially anchored work introductions, the Manifest Maker. Designed to be used by deskless personnel, the solution utilises technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce the effort required to create step-by-step videos of complex processes. According to the system’s designers, Manifest Maker should be particularly useful in industrial and defence settings.
The technology works by capturing industry experts doing their jobs, completing procedures and analysing their workflows, before documenting and sharing these processes throughout the organisation. Manifest Maker hopes to make the creation of custom work instructions easier without users requiring specialist knowledge or equipment.
Once created, work instructions can be shared with deskless workers everywhere. Additionally, Manifest Maker is also now compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro platforms.
Key features of the Manifest Maker tool:
- Aims to improve operational efficiencies, safety and maintenance.
- AI technology helps create linear, procedural steps using the video captured.
- Creates 3D models to help train and support employees by teaching them about complex equipment and how to repair and maintain them.
- Users can drag and drop 2D or 3D images into the app from a Scratch Pad.
- Features the ability to auto-transcribe text and dictate guidance.
- Old, paper-based work instructions can be digitalised with Manifest Maker.
- Expanded hardware support now includes key Apple products.
Manifest Maker 2.0
“Supporting Apple Vision Pro and its game-changing spatial computing capabilities is going to make it easier to create superior work instructions that will make deskless employees more effective and more efficient,” said John Tomizuka, Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Taqtile. “With the addition of AI and other technical enhancements, the new version of Manifest Maker is more powerful, simpler to use, and a more valuable option for industrial users.”
