OR3D has announced the continuation of its popular Geomagic open training days throughout the rest of 2024. Designed to provide comprehensive training for Design X, Control X, and Freeform+, the aim of these courses is for the attendees to gain hands-on experience and enhance their skills in advanced software.
The UK and Ireland’s main accredited training and maintenance partner for Geomagic and platinum partner to Oqton will provide attendees with an in-depth exploration and practical exercises of each software package. Following the conclusion of the course, attendees will then be able to utilise their new knowledge in industry settings.
Design X course
Design X is a reverse engineering software. By opting for this course, attendees will be able to understand everything from basic functionalities to advanced techniques which will then allow them to create high-quality, CAD-ready models from 3D scan data.
Control X course
Whereas the Control X software and training program will focus on inspection and quality control. From this training course, attendees will be able to go on to provide accurate and reliable 3D measurements in a variety of industries like automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing. For example, Control X can be used in the automotive and aerospace sectors to complete precise inspections of complex parts and assemblies to ensure quality assurance levels are met.
Freeform+ course
Finally, the Freeform+ software works to create organic 3D designs. This training course will help attendees navigate the process of creating complex, Freeform shapes and designs. Artists, designers, engineers, and medical professionals may find this course of use. For example, medical professionals will benefit from learning how to create precise, patient-specific anatomical models and prosthetics.
