MolecuLight launch its Auto Depth wound measurement feature.
MolecuLight Corp (MolecuLight) has expanded the capabilities of its flagship wound imaging device, the MolecuLightDX. Now, the fluorescence imaging technology specialist’s solution includes the Auto Depth feature, which ensures automatic wound depth measurement.
With the upgrade, MolecuLightDX now provides users with a complete wound measurement solution with clinicians able to digitally measure wound area, length, width, and depth with a single image capture. Auto Depth utilises proprietary optics and software to eliminate the need for users to measure depth manually, reducing the time it takes to complete the process while also optimising measurement reliability and precision.
Traditional manual measurements, that typically require a probe or ruler, can face inaccuracies and will often lead to overestimated measurements. MolecuLight’s new solution helps standardise wound measurement across multiple providers. Additionally, Auto Depth has been tested and validated to ensure high levels of accuracy and reliability within a real clinical environment with patient wounds.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Auto Depth feature. Providing customers with a robust, standardised and easily implementable digital wound measurement solution is a top priority at MolecuLight,” said Anil Amlani, CEO of MolecuLight Corp. “The MolecuLightDX Auto Depth will have a significant impact on clinical workflow and documentation, allowing wounds to be efficiently measured with a single image capture while obtaining superior accuracy and reliability. The measured Auto Depth is automatically written to the patient record for EHR integrated customers, further reducing the documentation burden experienced by wound care clinicians.”
