Mech-Mind's Mech-Eye NANO ULTRA
Mech-Mind has upgraded its Mech-Eye NANO ULTRA solution as part of its mission to enhance its existing 3D camera product portfolio. According to its developers, the NANO ULTRA has a more compact design, better accuracy, an extended field of view (FOV), quicker scan rates, and improved robustness compared to its competitors, as well as having a greater resistance to reflections and ambient light. Additionally, the solution should help companies reduce costs while improving flexibility, productivity, and efficiency levels.
The NANO ULTRA can be used in a variety of manufacturing applications including welding, fine assembly, and small part picking, due to its high-resolution imaging capabilities and robotic guidance. Close-up applications that require tight tolerances are a particular speciality for this solution.
Key features of the upgraded Mech-Eye NANO ULTRA:
- Equipped with a self-developed DLP projector, advanced CMOS sensors, and binocular structured light imaging algorithms.
- Boasts high-quality 3D imaging in challenging lighting conditions exceeding 60,000 lx and captures point clouds as small as 500 ms.
- Powered using a NVIDIA GPU processor.
- Includes an IP65-rated, rugged, lightweight aluminium alloy housing to maximise the solution’s payload.
- CE, FCC, VCCI, KC, ISED, NRTL, and MTBF (≥ 100,000 hours) certified, ensuring that the camera will continue to operate in dusty, humid, and warm environments that could be vulnerable to vibrations and electromagnetic interference.
- Ideal for applications requiring flexibility, accuracy, and durability, with its lightweight and compact design.
- A new optional protective shell with active cooling components will provide the camera with extra protection in harsh environments.
Supporting both eye-to-hand and eye-in-hand installations, the NANO ULTRA can be used with a variety of robots including cobots, AGVs, as well as mobile and industrial robots. Additionally, the solution provides an SDK with popular programming languages and is also compatible with GenICam and GigE Vision.
