LK Metrology has announced CAMIO 2024, the latest release of its CMM software for measurement, programming, simulation, analysis and reporting.
LK Metrology has unveiled the latest version of its measurement, programming, simulation, analysis, and reporting software, CAMIO 2024. Improvements to safety, performance, quality assurance, and productivity can be expected as well as a reduction in lead time.
CAMIO 2024 allows both experienced and novice users to drive inspection graphically from a CAD model (online or offline). Part alignment, feature inspection, and dimensional tolerancing applications are more intuitive and quicker with advanced GUI.
For individuals wanting to get a closer look at the software platform, LK Metrology will be showcasing CAMIO at IMTS 2024 in Chicago this September.
CAMIO 2024 upgraded features:
- Enhanced safety levels.
- Improved productivity, especially in quality control.
- Reduced lead time from component production through to final inspection.
- New path planning aid, Clearance Box.
- Displayed CAD features become semi-transparent to improve the drag-and-drop tool's abilities during measurement strategy configuration.
- Stand-alone utility allows settings from one CMM with CAMIO enabled to be copied to another, allowing for a valuable backup solution.
- Supports the Metrology Gate, Industry 4.0 portal.
Simplifying and speeding up programming processes with the new Clearance Box path planner aid, CAMIO can prevent the sensor from colliding with the workpiece while it is repositioning. The new aid works with the Auto Sensor Selection which can improve the efficiency levels of an inspection program by reducing the number of times a probe needs to reposition to measure a part.
