
3D Metrology Conference
In September, the 3D Metrology Conference (3DMC) will be held at the UK’s Intelligent Automation Centre at Loughborough University from the 24th to the 26th. The annual event focuses on technologies and applications within the industrial 3D measurement and metrology sector. Delivered in a selection of talks, posters, and supplier presentations, the event will cover a selection of industrial applications, research and commercial developments.
Across the three days, around 40 presentations will take place, in the form of talks and posters, from a selection of organisations, including:
- Hexagon UK.
- INSPHERE.
- Rolls-Royce.
- BMW and the Technical University of Munich.
- CERN.
- Loughborough, Nottingham, and Huddersfield Universities.
- Nuclear AMRC.
- The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC).
3DMC is a truly international event with presenters coming from the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Italy, Brazil, and China. The commercial sponsors of the event will also present a selection of technologies like Quidient, that will be hosting a special interest session on Generalised Scene Reconstruction (GSR), while Nikon Metrology will complete an introduction on laser radar.
