GW Instek ASR-6000 Series High-Performance AC:DC Power Source.
GW Instek has launched its new ASR-6000 Series High-Performance AC/DC Power Source. The new solution aims to address the increasing power demands of artificial intelligence (AI) servers and data centres. As well as applications relating to AI servers and data centres, the Series will also be ideal for aiding uninterruptible power systems, AC inverters, and server and communication power supplies. Included within the series are the ASR-6540 and ASR-6600 models.
The integrated test solutions provider claims that this launch reaffirms the company’s commitment to pioneering innovative electronic measurement technologies. GW Instek claims that the new power source solution aims to allow users to efficiently test and manage power supplies in the most challenging environments.
Key features of the ASR-6000 Series:
- AC single/three-phase input and output capabilities can be combined with programmable scenarios to mimic a variety of power conditions.
- Delivers power output up to 18kW, meeting the requirements of AI and GPU server racks that consume between 50-60kW per rack.
- Simultaneously tests multiple devices making multi-channel output function possible.
- Integrated silicon carbide (SiC) technology to increase power efficiency while reducing energy losses.
- Remote operation feature without the need for additional software.
“The primary advantage of the ASR-6000 series lies in its utilisation of cutting-edge third-generation silicon carbide technology. This innovation has enabled the realisation of high-power density within a compact 4U design,” said Tony Chuang, Director of the Power R&D Business Unit at GW Instek. “Furthermore, it features enhanced web control capabilities, multi-channel output, and a variety of communication interfaces. These attributes collectively ensure that GW Instek's power products are designed with the adaptability to be compatible across all testing scenarios.”
