ETQ, part of Hexagon, has added an Inspection Management app to its ETQ Reliance NXG quality management system (QMS) software platform. The new addition will help improve the streamlining and automation of quality inspection processes.
According to the developers, the app will be ideal for users who require hands-on inspection applications to meet quality standards and compliance requirements as they will now be able to automate their processes. Additionally, the app reduces the amount of paperwork required and provides real-time visibility into quality operations.
“The cost of poor quality continues to rise among today’s manufacturers, not only causing severe financial impact from product recalls, defects and noncompliance but also eroding the trust of customers and damaging industry reputation,” said John Taylor, Chief Technology Officer at ETQ. “The launch of the Inspection Management app rounds out our ETQ Reliance offerings and brings a new level of automation, visibility and control to the quality inspections process and ensures that only quality products reach customers.”
Key benefits of the Inspection Management app:
- Enables quality control teams to accurately, and more easily, check for product defects to improve overall quality assurance levels.
- Allows teams to identify and rectify issues quicker by automating links to quality events, nonconformance reporting, and corrective actions.
- Continuous improvements can be made throughout the manufacturing process with shop floor data analysis with reduced disposition time.
- Supports a variety of inspection and operational checklists.
- Quality control data can be captured to track, trend, and prioritise all quality issues.
Customers who currently run the ETQ Reliance NXG cloud-native QMS will be offered the new Inspection Management app, as well as new customers.
