Dyne Testing, an Intertronics brand, provides nondestructive inspection of industrial cleaning processes with its CleanoSpector. The solution aims to enhance quality assurance levels by providing an easy-to-use, handheld system that measures the cleanliness of manufactured metal parts. As a result, inspected surfaces should be free of contaminants before they enter the next stage of the manufacturing process.
Organic contamination elements like oil, grease, coolants, release agents, and cleaning fluids can be measured on metal surfaces. The solution can be used on production lines, during fieldwork, and in laboratories across various industries, including automotive, medical device manufacturing, and aerospace.
Key features of the CleanoSpector:
- Provides non-contact, non-destructive inspection of metal surfaces.
- Detects contamination on metal surfaces by focusing UV light on surfaces to measure the fluorescence from any organic compounds, with cleanliness levels displayed as a percentage.
- Fluorescence measurement allows for the reliable monitoring and recording of part cleanliness after the cleaning process is complete.
- Optional software provides the user with computer control of the solution as well as recording and management capabilities of cleanliness measurement data.
“The CleanoSpector is suitable for use in the laboratory as well as for use around the manufacturing process,” said Alison Fox, Brand Manager at Dyne Testing. “The instrument can work on metals, ceramics, and glass. It has various spacers that can provide easy measurement of different part shapes to ensure optimal focal length.”
