Creaform, an AMETEK business, has released its VXintegrity 3.0. The newly upgraded NDT software platform has new features to help users perform oil and gas infrastructure fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluations. Users can access Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations for Level 3 assessments. Additionally, they can also utilise American Petroleum Institute (API) 579 standard tools to aid with Level 1 and 2 evaluations.
Now, Level 3 assessments can be completed quicker with a downtime reduction which will ultimately result in more cost-effective results for companies. Burst pressure simulations also offer greater accuracy compared to traditional measuring methods, optimising inspection programs.
Whereas the new API 579 standard provides a straightforward method of conducting both Level 1 and Level 2 assessments on surface corrosion. Simplified and straightforward evaluations of the structural integrity of pressurised components relating to refineries, chemical plants, and other facilities are now possible.

“Guaranteed to make waves in the NDT industry, these latest additions to our VXintegrity platform were requested and highly anticipated by asset owners,” said François Lachance, Product Manager at Creaform. “Already ASME B31.G, B31.8R compliant, the added FEA capabilities and API 579 compliance to VXintegrity will simplify all levels of assessment, all while reducing downtime, costs, and uncertainty. A truly disruptive solution.”
VXintegrity 3.0 will be showcased at ASNT 2024 in Las Vegas. Attendees can locate Creaform at Booth 821 from the 21st - 24th October to witness live demonstrations.
