The new Bowers Group Figura range
Bowers Group has launched its new surface form and geometry machines, the Figura range. The new range is designed to provide fast, precise measurements of contours, surface roughness, and roundness. Intended to help support the company’s applications in quality assurance, manufacturing, and engineering, the range will enhance Bowers Group’s established solutions.
“We’re excited to introduce the new Figura range to both UK and global markets. This launch marks a significant expansion of Bowers Group’s product portfolio, bringing advanced solutions to industries that require precise measurement and quality control in surface finish,” said Martin Hawkins, Managing Director at Bowers Group. “With advanced technology, impressive precision, and intuitive software, the Figura range meets the increasing demand for reliable inspection tools in modern manufacturing. Since showcasing the technology at MACH earlier this year, we’ve seen a strong, positive response, and I’m confident that the launch will be a great success.”
The new range features two models, the Figura CR for contour and roughness measurements and the Figura RD for roundness assessments. Both models are available in various configurations with flexible options for dimensional and surface analysis.
Figura CR
The Figura CR measures even minor deviations from the geometrical ideal shape, providing precise surface measurements when surface roughness is impacting technical functionality. Users should experience enhanced accuracy and ease of use with an intuitive operation interface.
Figura RD
Whereas the Figura RD focuses on roundness, cylindricity, straightness, and flatness measurements, as well as other complex geometrical metrics. The solution aims to provide accurate, reliable measurements using its marble operation table and floor-mounted anti-vibration system.
The Figura range has integrated analysis software, providing multiple inspection sequences. Users can arrange 3D colour maps, generate PDF inspection reports, and access fast reporting with statistical process control (SPC) features.
Both models also feature a full range of accessories, allowing the user to customise their solution based on application needs. Additionally, Bowers Group will provide regular software updates, upgrading the Figura range’s measurement technology.
