AMETEK acquires Virtek Vision International.
AMETEK has announced its acquisition of Virtek Vision International. The laser-based projection and inspection systems provider specialises in manufacturing 3D laser projectors, smart cameras, and quality inspection systems that are powered by AI.
Virtek Vision International provides its customers with precise, virtual laser-guided measurement and inspection capabilities to aid with the automation of processes. As a result, users should experience improvements in efficiency. The company is particularly well-established within the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors.

Virtek Vision International has annual sales of around $40 million, approximately. The Canada-based company will join AMETEK as part of its Electronic Instruments Group (EIG), which specialises in analytical, monitoring, testing, calibrating, and display instrumentation.
