Wyebot
Wyebot joins Zebra Technologies' PartnerConnect program.
Towards the end of 2024, Wyebot announced that it was joining Zebra Technologies’ PartnerConnect Program. The company completed the move with the aim of focusing on AI-driven network automation and synthetic network tests that can be used in real-time voice, video, and data applications.
Since the announcement, Manufacturing Quality has had the opportunity to speak with Roger Sands, CEO and Co-Founder of Wyebot. We discussed the company’s motivation behind joining the program, how PartnerConnect will benefit Wyebot moving forward, and its Wireless Intelligence Platform (WIP) in more detail.
MQ: What initially motivated Wyebot to join the Zebra PartnerConnect Program?
RS: We believe in Zebra’s industry leadership, innovative products, and respect the company’s strong quality commitment. We want to help Zebra and its customers be successful by improving the mission-critical Wi-Fi that serves as the connectivity backbone for edge devices.
Permit me to use an analogy that resonates with many. Imagine that Wi-Fi is the racetrack, Zebra devices are the Formula One cars, and the customer is in the driver’s seat. If the racetrack is full of potholes and other impairments, the cars will not be able to achieve their high performance.
Wyebot delivers the visibility and AI-based actionable insights needed to identify and eliminate mission-disrupting Wi-Fi issues so that all businesses thrive.
MQ: What is the main benefit of joining the program that will help Wyebot develop in the future?
RS: Thank you for the thoughtful question.
The single most significant benefit that will drive Wyebot’s future development through our partnership with Zebra Technologies is the ability to deliver solutions that support enhanced network reliability and performance in mission-critical environments.
This partnership allows Wyebot to integrate our advanced Wi-Fi diagnostics, automation, and AI-based actionable insights with Zebra’s cutting-edge technologies, creating a robust ecosystem for industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, and Transportation & Logistics. Together, we empower organisations to address connectivity challenges proactively, ensuring seamless operations and a superior end-user experience.
As the demand for digital transformation accelerates, this synergy positions Wyebot to continually innovate and expand our reach, supporting businesses in navigating the evolving connectivity landscape. It’s this focus on solving real-world challenges with precision and scalability that will drive Wyebot’s long-term growth and success.
We’re excited about the opportunities this partnership brings and remain committed to helping our customers achieve their goals.
MQ: In the press release, you mention that “The PartnerConnect program makes it easier for us to differentiate ourselves while working together with Zebra to give a performance edge to the front line of business.” What does Wyebot bring to Zebra and the program as a whole?
RS: Wyebot’s Wireless Intelligence Platform (WIP) delivers the network visibility, actionable insights, and end-user digital experience metrics that all IT/OT professionals need to guarantee network reliability and network suitability. We are working to eliminate frustrations and challenges that arise from lost connections and other performance issues.
Who wants to be on a critical voice call that fails due to network connectivity?
What facility wants to have its automation stop in its tracks due to connectivity issues? What is the business cost of such downtime?
If there is a problem with the Wi-Fi, there is a problem with operational efficiency and business productivity. Zebra recognises the importance of robust and high-performance Wi-Fi connectivity in Enterprise and Industrial environments. WIP’s AI-driven Wi-Fi assurance ensures seamless connectivity for the entire suite of Zebra mobile computers, scanners, tablets, printers, and robots. This reliable connectivity enables optimised production workflows, streamlined logistics, and boosted workforce productivity. We are helping all customers achieve the goals they need to achieve for business growth and enhanced reputations.
MQ: Aside from gaining “greater market coverage” for the company’s Wireless Intelligence Platform (WIP), do you expect Wyebot’s solution to receive any other benefits from joining the program?
RS: Wyebot is establishing itself as a leader in the Wi-Fi assurance and digital experience sectors. We are very selective about our industry partners and only align with other industry leaders. We recognise Zebra as one of these leaders, and by joining the program, we benefit from our mutual focus on excellent quality, driven by a need to help others be effective in their respective industries.
MQ: Finally, I just wanted to ask whether the WIP solution provides any metrology-related benefits or whether there were any metrology considerations during the design process of the platform?
RS: WIP provides visibility, detailed performance analytics, and remote automated troubleshooting. Our analytics and AI-based actionable insights are based on 802.11 standards and best practices for any network-connected devices. In addition, notifications can be set to communicate with ServiceNow and other IT/OT Ticket systems.
