Third Dimension is set to demonstrate its new T15-V Sensor at Control 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany this April.

The Bristol-based dimensional metrology company, which specialises in both hand-held and automated, non-contact, optical profile measurement systems, says the T15-V sensor is compatible with and will ‘unlock more applications’ for its flagship hand-held GapGun and automated Vectro devices. With its optimised field of view, the sensor can be deployed to measure a range of features including edge profiles, gaps, flush, welds and more, with exceptional precision and accessibility.

T15-V specifications include:

Francois Froment, CEO at Third Dimension explained, “Last year, the T15-M sensor was a huge success opening even more opportunities for GapGun and Vectro within the Aerospace, Automotive and Energy sectors. To meet industry demands, we decided to enlarge our T15 range further, with a new T15-V sensor.

"Our growth momentum in 2024 is set to increase, alongside our in-house technical expertise and we are looking forward to taking a stronger-than-before presence at this years’ Control 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany."

Froment will also host two introductions on the Third Dimension stand at Control on Tuesday 23 April and Wednesday 24 April at 10:00. "All those with an interest in metrology are very welcome to attend," Froment said.

Third Dimension’s products are already being used by manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive and energy sectors, including Airbus, Lockheed Martin, GE, Rolls-Royce, Volvo and Samsung, to carry out quality checks, keep an audit trail on all measurements, and provide quality assurance. Earlier this month the company launched the Vectro 2 non-contact gauging solution as the latest addition to the series of FANUC CRX-Ready products. The integration of Vectro 2 with FANUC CRX is said to enable manufacturers to automate the measurement of gap and flush, edge, radius, chamfer, angle, and other profile features.

Third Dimension will exhibit at Control 2024 on 23-26th April in Hall 10, stand #1706.
