The Sempre Group will be exhibiting its metrology solutions for the medical industry at MedTech Innovation Expo 2023 at the NEC in Birmingham from the 7-8 June. The measurement and inspection solutions provider aims to help medical device and technology manufacturers understand how automated metrology can enhance their quality processes.

Key highlights:

“Automated metrology is a game-changer for the medical industry and these systems can help manufacturers prevent minor defects from blocking their route to market,” explained McGlynn. “Automated systems like Micro-Vu allow us to deliver better quality products in a more efficient way, which is vital for improving patient outcomes.

“Integrating metrology into every stage of a medical device’s product lifecycle can streamline validation and production. Meanwhile, automated real-time data collection software, like High QA, can provide total visibility and control data across the entire manufacturing process. Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2023 is a great opportunity to reach out to the wider industry, showcase our expertise and demonstrate how medical manufacturers can benefit from this technology,” continued McGlynn.

Due to the potentially catastrophic consequences if a medical device were to have a minor defect, it is pivotal that manufacturer know their product are 100% accurate before releasing to the public. By integrating metrology into production, manufacturers can gather accurate and traceable evidence to help validate their device.

Sempre will be exhibiting their Micro-Vu Vertex, which is a multi-sensing CMM capable of measuring a wide range of parts and assemblies, including plastic and injection moulds. They will also feature a metrology fixture installed on the Micro-Vu system, which has been specifically designed for medical parts.

Alongside the Micro-Vu system, the company will also showcase its Prolink SPC and High QA Inspection Manager software. This software is designed to automatically create inspection plans and reports, which can further enhance a manufacturer’s quality process.
