Digital Surf has announced the latest version of its surface metrology and microscopy software analysis platform, Mountains. Version 10 will host a variety of new features and aims to bridge the gap in Digital Surf’s topography, image, and spectroscopy analysis offerings.

Key information:

Version 10 of the Mountains software will feature two new products, MountainsImage and MountainsSpectral Analyse. MountainsImage is for users of light microscopes and provides a toolkit for pre-processing and analysing image data. Included in the toolkit are tools for enhancement, measurement, luminance histograms, colour inversion, conversion to monochrome, particle analysis including colour segmentation, fibre analysis and image contour analysis. Whereas MountainsSpectral Analyse provides automatic peak detection and fitting and parameter map generation for spectra users only.

The surface metrology and microscopy software analysis platform will now feature automation improvements. One particular improvement now allows the user to group Mountain’s productivity functions. Digital Surf’s recently released fibre analysis tool has been extended to all products, including topography analysis products.

Users can now also compare measured shell data with CAD models and access full surface texture analysis. Version 10 also features a Lens Analysis module for the study of aspheric optical surfaces and profiles in applications from various industries including imaging lasers, sensors, and systems.
