Creaform’s VXelements 11 update sees the biggest change to the system's dimensional inspection module, VXinspect. It is split into two separate modules, VXinspect|Analysis and VXinspect|Quality. The former is an inspection software that streamlines designs and manufacturing dimensional root cause analyses, while the latter is a 3D inspection software for advanced quality control applications in subsequent production phases.

Leading up to the release of the VXelements 11 upgrade, Creaform made extensive ergonomics and usability improvements to ensure operators with a variety of skill levels will be able to use the software. In addition to these user experience improvements, the upgrade primarily aims to broaden quality control capabilities.

“At Creaform, we are committed to investing in our software solutions to maximise the value of our 3D scanners for our customers. This update of VXelements is aligned with the organisation’s software vision and establishes a solid foundation for the future,” said David Robichaud, Technical Product Manager at Creaform.

Before the latest update, VXelements’ scan-to-CAD module for reverse engineering and additive manufacturing workflows, VXmodel, was already compatible with SolidWorks, Inventor, and Solid Edge. Now, with the release of the VXelements 11 update, it is also compatible with Fusion 360.

The portable 3D measurement solutions provider has extended the interoperability between the digital twin environment software module, VXscan-R, and robot brands and models like UR10 and M-10iD/8L. This module enables users to record trajectories directly from teach pendants with some collaborative robots.
