Augmentus launches 3D Scan & Plan robotic system in Europe

Augmentus

Augmentus has announced the launch of its 3D Scan & Plan robotic system for surface treatment, finishing and welding in Europe.

A leader in intelligent 3D scanning and robot motion planning solutions, Augmentus is expanding its presence in the international market by entering Europe. With proven success within the manufacturing industry, the company is looking to make its technology available to meet the increasing demand for simplified robot programming solutions in Europe.

Used by manufacturers like ST Engineering, Hyundai, Abrasive Engineering, Johnson & Johnson, and Fujitsu, Augmentus' proprietary technology is said to be able to significantly lower engineering costs by up to 73%, reduce robot programming duration by 21 times, and increase production throughput by 10 times.

With 3D Scan & Plan, users can generate a digital twin of their work cell in seconds with high accuracy and fidelity, scan the work cell using their desired sensor, or import CAD files. Augmentus can then automatically identify and accurately calibrate a user's robot simulation environment in seconds. Applications of this technology include sandblasting and shot peening, sanding and polishing, and welding.

Augmentus is offering 3D Scan & Plan through three pricing plans. Lite is available for those looking to trial the Augmentus Platform; Pro is offered for organisations looking to automate specific processes and applications; and Enterprise is suggested as the option for organisations looking to automate their manufacturing and production line.

The company also announced that it will be showcasing its AI-powered robotics system at Hannover Messe in Germany from 17-21 April 2023 at Hall 11 Stand A45. Exhibiting at Hannover Messe will allow firms in the region to experience the 'versatility and capabilities of Augmentus' Scan and Plan robotics in simplifying robotics motion planning processes,' per the company.
